Uses:
Applications for 316 stainless steel balls include dairy, brewery, paper, pulp, photographic chemicals, inks, synthetic fiber, textile benches and dye stuffs equipment.   Balls manufactured from 316 stainless steel are FDA approved for use in surgical implants.  Due to high temperature properties type 316 stainless steel balls may be used at elevated temperatures. 

Corrosion Resistance:
Due to its improved corrosion resistance over the conventional 18-8 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel balls are used in sulfuric acid, phosphoric and acetic acid applications.  316 Stainless steel balls also resist halogen type pitting better than the other 18-8 grades and due to high temperature properties it is used at elevated temperatures.
