M-50 High Speed Steel Balls

Uses:
M-50 balls have found wide application in the bearing and missile field for bearing components, and for bearings in aircraft gas turbine engines which must retain high wear resistance and strength up to 800ºF.  ITI is capable of producing M-50 balls to AMS 6491, with heat treat to AMS 2759, which meet the requirements of DFARS 7014 and DFARS 7016.    ITI is also capable of eddy current testing M-50 balls and etch testing to MIL-STD-867.  online contact form

Corrosion Resistance:
The M-50 ball alloy which is produced by vacuum induction melting and they consumable electrode re-melting, has excellent resistance to softening at high service temperatures. M-50 balls also have high compressive strength characteristics similar to of high-speed tool steels, and a good degree of oxidation resistance.
