Plastic Balls

A laser gauge provides precise, non-contact measurement of plastic balls.
Nickel Alloy Balls
Applications:
Plastic balls are ideal for light-load bearings and flow control applications. Because they are quiet, plastic balls are often selected for use in office furniture, bearings, medical products, and similar applications. They're also used exclusively in flow control applications in pharmaceutical, food processing, and chemical processing equipment.

Features:
Plastic balls have low friction and require virtually no lubrication. They are much lighter than metal balls, and resist corrosion and abrasion very well. Compared to metals having comparable corrosion resistance, plastics are generally less expensive. Many plastics are also extremely resistant to heat. Silicone, for example, withstands temperatures up to 600°F, and tetrafluorethylene withstands almost equally high temperatures.

Materials:
You can choose from a wide range of materials, including common resins and new engineered plastics. Each performs differently, so we'll help you select the polymer that best fits your application and budget.
