Tantalum balls are used for corrosive applications in pumps, electronic components, chemical equipment nuclear reactors and valve components. Tantalum balls are resistant to organic solutions, salt water, acids such as hydrochloric, hydrobronic, formic, and cold ammonia, chlorine, bromine, and iodine.
